THE UNMAPPED NURSE
Thank You!

First of all, I want to take a moment to thank you for taking the time out of your day to find yourself on my site. It truly means the world to me. Why? Well because it's a cue to myself that the posts that I'm writing might actually be interesting. It's also a sign that people like me do exist out in the world! (Thank God!)

So let me tell you a bit about myself, and what inspired me to finally kick off this blog.
THE RESOURCE NURSE
Do you know someone who's had struggles with their health? Young or old? Physical limitation? Mental illness? Terminal illness? More and more hospitals are pressured to discharge patients faster, whilst lengthening wait times in the community to see specialists. This reaction is leaving families and friends stressed with the responsibilities of care, and left to figure out what's best for their loved one.
But what does this all mean to you? The shift in home care is rapidly changing, creating a wave of chain reactions with it. Within this site, explore complex stories, experiences, and learn how to be resourceful within your community without compromising on care.
PRACTICE WHAT YOU TEACH
Surround yourself with people of your kind. People who are like-minded, and people you're inspired by. In this chapter, learn how fear is holding you back from your greatest potential.

CAREER & EDUCATION
Knowledge is the best investment you can do for yourself. It increases your value to contribute to society, to yourself, and no one can ever take it away from you.
The fun thing about education is that it is limitless and virtually convenient. Here you can learn how to utilize your skills to find opportunities online and strengthen your resume.

Feel free to read about the different roadmaps of my career and how it continues to evolve. If you've also had a career that's pulled you from every direction, we'd love to hear from you!
NEW ADVENTURES
Everywhere we go, we discover new things about our surroundings, but more importantly we discover new things about ourselves. From growing up in a privileged and over protected community, to living in minority and working in the poverty streets of Toronto, I learned a few hard lessons along the way.
The adventurer is about discovering new places. Getting out of our comfort zones and facing the hard realities that come our way. The adventurer is about discovering your best self.

CONFESSIONS
Stories and experiences about what I thought I would be.
I didn't turn out the way I imagined I would.

I turned out ok.
& I'm learning to love myself for it.

These are my thoughts as an introvert.
Understanding the world, revealing the scars, and supporting one another along the way.
MEDITATION
What keeps you grounded and nurtured?
Honestly, you're probably already meditating, but just not realizing it.

Meditation is all around us, even though it might not look like our two hands are together in lotus pose. A year ago I would of told you that meditation is bogus.

Now, after personal experiences that required me to begin meditating... I live and breathe it, and because of it, I stopped needing my antidepressants.

In this chapter, learn what your meditation method is, or learn the discipline behind successful meditation.
